I'm not happy with LiveJournal. I mean, it's all right for me: I have a permanent account. But when I'm accidentally logged out, and I go to a page of mine, and I see an advert pop up with the message "Your LiveJournal experience will follow after this message"... well, then I start wondering why I don't choose what appears on my own blog.
My birthday is tomorrow. I think I may make a new start and post everything primarily to Dreamwidth from now on, maybe with one of those things which crossposts but you have to go to Dreamwidth in order to comment. Would any of you comment less if that happened?
I can still keep up with you all using RSS; I am magic, being a coder, and can tell my RSS reader to log in to read friendslocked posts.
I want to start making a day post every day, even when nothing happened. You know what they say about the unexamined life.
I would also like to syndicate public posts to thomasthurman.org, and have that be the primary way most people read my blog.
