In 2008, someone kept adding a claim to be the author of that "But Lord, why was there only one set of footprints?" poem to its Wikipedia page. There was no evidence of this, so I kept removing the claim. For this I was called a lot of rude names, and sent a private message on another site threatening to sue me if I didn't allow the claim to remain in the article. Under Wikipedia rules, this meant they got banned for life.
