You may know that Diana Wynne Jones is rather ill. I have two selfish reasons for wanting her not to die just yet:

1. I want to read her next book, dammit.  And the next one and the next one and the next one.
2. I would like to become a famous author so I can write to her and say, "Thank you, because your work was always an inspiration to me in becoming a famous author."  But that will take a few years.
