Jamie and the Magic Torch
Dec. 28th, 2010 10:28 amI grew up with this programme. It made perfect sense at the time that there's a helter-skelter under your room, reachable only by means of a magic torch [US: "flashlight"], with an enchanted country at the bottom.
Some good soul has uploaded an entire episode. Wonderful. I don't know where else you can find this now.
(Something that puzzles me: does Wordsworth the dog wear that hat outside of the presumed dream sequence, in everyday life? He must be a real dog because Jamie's mother refers to him in the epilogue, but you don't see him at any other time, except where he brings Jamie the torch. And then you only see his nose sticking out from under the bed, so you don't see whether he's wearing the hat.)
[PS: Anyone attempting a sexual reading of this cartoon in the comments will be summarily mocked and asked to explain the presence of the sheepdog.]
