I presume you meant the anonymous comment on that entry.
They took advantage of the fact that "LiveJournal" was the site that was selected by default in the drop-down list... a Dreamwidth/Twitter/Identi.ca/Anything-th at's-not-LiveJournal needs two steps, too.
So my thoughts are: see what percentage of requests are for LiveJournal charts.
If the percentage is high, then show a LiveJournal chart by default after someone enters the name, with a title saying something like "This is for the *LiveJournal* user 'bla'. You can also see the charts for the [[Twitter]] · [[Identi.ca]] · [[etc. etc.]] users 'bla'."
If the percentage is moderate or low, or seems to be decreasing, keep the interface as-is (no default site, people always have to select).
